In an attempt to better my brown thumb, we went out to buy some flowers and plants for the summer for our yard. This year, we decided to try our hand at a tomato plant. We planted the starter, and watered it. Each day, I am monitoring this little guy, and I’m noticing that it is changing, it is growing! The growth, though, is minute. But there is growth in height, and even in strength. At a quIck glance though, you don’t see it because you don’t see the “fruit” (tomato). It will take time.
This idea can be applied to our growth. Whether it be life goals, our faith, or where we are at in our age, we are growing. God is the one monitoring, watering, and caring. I am learning to daily commit my growth in these areas to my maker, and place my faith in Jesus who I know will produce the fruit. Each day, I am reminded by my tomato plant that growth happens, and I just need to be patient along the way.
In what areas are you growing or wanting to see growth?
